About Gary
There’s a lot we could tell you about Gary Wolstenholme and that’s mainly to do with the fact that he has been playing golf at a very high level for a very long time. For reasons best known to himself, Gary remained amateur for ages and only turned pro in 2008 aged 48. Before that he had played in 5 Walker Cups and remains the highest ever points scorer for Great Britain and Ireland. But he’s perhaps best known for beating the already infamous Tiger Woods in the 1995 biennial trans-Atlantic battle.
We didn’t really know Gary before we met on the tour trailer where he was having a little work done on his wedges but didn't think he’d be the sort who would go for Shaft Skinz. He was actually introduced to them by some of the other players we had just put sleeves on for!
