We recommend using one of our hair dryers - NOT a heat gun, they tend to melt the sleeves and heat the shaft to an unnecessarily high temperature. 

We feel duty bound to say the following (and our lawyers would probably appreciate it):

Hairdryers get hot. As such, they can burn you. Always keep your hands as far away from the heat as is possible. But hey, we’re probably overstating in a bit. After all, you point them at your head don’t you?  Take care when handling the shaft at the end of the heating process - it can still carry a lot of heat.

You need to use a sharp knife to trim the excess material away from the shaft. Sharp knives are, well...SHARP! Which means they cut things, including you if you’re not careful. Please be careful - always cut away from the parts of your body you’d like to keep just where they are!
