Shaft Skinz

A unique labelling product that lets you decorate and protect the shafts of your clubs in minutes.

They’re a great new way to customize your shafts to give your equipment the look you want rather than the look the manufacturers have decided you should have!

They also add protection to your shafts from the knocks and scrapes of everyday usage that often result in rust spots on steels shafts and areas of wear on graphite shafts.

Putting them on

A light-weight, printed sleeve is fed over the grip and shrunk onto the shaft in a matter of minutes using a strong hair dryer.1

The thin plastic film reacts to the heat by shrinking down to take the form of the shaft underneath so is suitable for all shaft types (stepped or rifle, steel or graphite2). Each sleeve is long enough to fit any club from a putter to a standard driver. Click here to see a movie of the application process.

Taking them off

When the sleeves are showing signs of wear or you fancy a new look, Shaft Skinz are easily removed in seconds3 leaving no residue—you'd never know they'd been there! Click here to see a movie of the removal process.

You choose

Now you can play with the shafts that best suit your game but choose the look that best suits your personality. There's a range of designs for you to choose from in a variety of colors. Click here to see the design range.

Have your say

We have plans to expand the range to offer you even more choice as time goes on. We want to hear from you about the types of designs you want to see. Whether you have favourite colours, want sleeves to match your outfit or have a specific idea for a design you want to see, we want to hear about it. Click here to have your say.

Technical info

Shaft Skinz sleeves weigh about 3–4g depending on the length of the shaft being ‘skinned’. The product conforms to both the USGA and R&A ‘Rules of Golf’ so are suitable for all levels of competitive play from junior to professional.

We have had the sleeves tested using a renowned shaft analysis machine. This has shown a negligible increase increase (0.005%) in the stiffness measurement of the shaft being tested (before and after application).

  • 1 A 2kW hair dryer is recommended. A lower wattage will increase the application time and may make application difficult. (1875W is the minimum). A heat gun can be too powerful and may melt the sleeves.
  • 2 Only the removal process is different for graphite shafts.
  • 3 A sharp knife is needed. The removal from graphite shafts will take longer so as to avoid damage.
