***SPECIAL NOTICE***

Well, after a number of years of trying to help golfers around the world ‘Play with color’ we are winding up operations. Sadly, we have found it more difficult than anticipated to get our unique shaft sleeves into golf retailer stores where we had hoped they would be offered as installed items.

We still have a quantity of sleeves that we are interested in selling as a ‘lot’ to any interested party.  We welcome all serious enquiries via our Contact Us page.

Shaft Skinz is the way to decorate and protect any golf club shaft whether graphite or steel, stepped or tapered or even bent (as many putter shafts are). The ‘Skinz’ are micro thin, pre-printed plastic film shrink sleeves that are activated by heat to take the form of the shaft underneath forming a protective skin on the shaft.

'Skinz' on Tour

Almost 100 tour players have put Shaft Skinz into play and have accumulated 11 tour victories since then.

The selection of Shaft Skinz pictures on the right include a few of those players with their Shaft Skinz decorated clubs.

To see a comprehensive list of those individual players and more pictures visit the Tour Pros menu item.

Ask your clubfitter or pro

Shaft Skinz are a component product that you can have your clubfitter, club professional or golf specialist retailer fit (or, install) on your shaft.

The thin plastic film sleeves simply slide over a regular or mid size grip before being shrunk down to cling tightly to any shaft type - graphite, steel, stepped or tapered or even putter shafts with bends.  This is done with a high powered air dryer (hair dryer).

They are long enough to fit any regular length shaft - excess material is simply trimmed off during fitting meaning you can decorate and protect every club in your bag.

If and when you decide you fancy a new look, sleeves can be removed in seconds leaving absolutely no residue - you'll never know they'd been there.

Ask your clubfitter or pro if they can offer Shaft Skinz fitting.

Product overview:

- Choice of 48 different sleeve options - visit the ‘Designs’ menu item to view the range.
- Fitted (or, installed) in about 3-5 minutes with a suitably strong hair dryer(1) - visit the How To page to see.
- Sleeves prevent bag wear on graphite and rust spots on steel shafts (2).
- No need to have the grip removed (3) - sleeves slide over the grip.
- Removable again in seconds4 - they don’t stick to the shaft - so you can try a different look.
- Fully USGA and R&A Rule conforming - suitable for competition play at all levels.
- Negligible effect on shaft performance - even pros can’t feel the difference (5).
- Put in play on the world’s professional tours by more than 90 players.

Technical Info

Technical info Shaft Skinz sleeves will add about 3–4g depending on the length of the shaft being ‘skinned’ and the amount of excess material being trimmed away. On a driver, using a full sleeve, this equates to around half of 1 swing weight which is well below what is detectable to the human hand.

We have had the sleeves tested using a renowned shaft analysis machine. This has shown a negligible increase (0.005%) in the stiffness (frequency) of the shaft being tested.

Notes

  • 1.   A 2kW hair dryer is recommended (although certain 1,875W appliances work in the US). A lower wattage may increase the application time considerably and may even make application impossible. A heat gun should not be used as these can be too powerful and may melt the sleeves or split the seam.
  • 2.   Requires sleeves to be replaced if integrity is compromised to maintain protection.
  • 3.   Shaft Skinz sleeves slide over a regular or mid-sized grip. Jumbo grips need to be removed for the fitting of sleeves.
  • 4.   Requires a sharp knife (razor blade, craft knife or similar). Use the recommended technique to avoid damage.
  • 5.   See technical info (above).
